Program Note

Love Conquers is an orchestral piece of music that aims to convey the notion of love in the style of a fairytale storybook. The music operates with multiple powerful themes that portray a strong bond between a young man and his maiden. Through the sounds of the orchestra, the music attempts to capture the essence of young love in a functional relationship such as the beautiful aspects, wild experiences, disagreements, delicate and fragile moments, forgiveness, endurance, and the powerful concept of true love that gels everything together regardless of the hardships and circumstances the relationship may be in. Ultimately we can overcome anything with reason if genuine love prevails between both parties therefore love conquers in ways that we cannot comprehend. True love as it is always portrayed in fairytales is ‘and they lived happily ever after’. Furthermore, this music was inspired by the sincere and honest love of the composer towards a very special and delicate woman in his life.
